This is a guide on how to install new LED bulbs for the truck high mount brake/tail lamp demonstrated on a Chevy Silverado. Since there are screws you will need to remove, make sure you have a Philips screwdriver before you get started. You have the option of swapping out your truck bed light under the clear lens or the reverse lights under the red lens.

Take the Philips screwdriver and remove two Philips head screws on both sides of the high mount brake lamp.
-
Be sure to store the two Philips screws in a safe place so they don't get lost.

Pull out the truck high mount brake/tail light housing.

We recommend you pull out the housing with both hands so you don't break the water tight seal.

If in the event that you happen you break it, you may have some water leak issues so you would have to fix the high mount brake/tail lamp housing with some glue.
