Announced September 9, 2015 the iPad Mini 4 LTE shares much of its hardware and design with the iPad Air 2 but in a smaller package. It can be distinguished from the LTE version by the absence of a SIM card slot on the right edge, solid metal rear case with no plastic cutouts, and its model number, A1538, etched on the rear case.
