Background
The Toshiba Portege R500 was first sold in stores in July 2007. When it was released it was one of the best ultra-portable laptops available, as it combines light weight with a small form, making it very comfortable to use. The laptop is 12.1" and weighs only about 2 pounds. It has a Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 core, brand new at the time.
Identification
To identify the device, set it upside-down and look in the top right-hand side of the bottom of the device. It should have a sticker that says Toshiba Portege R500. The laptop itself is very thin and has no clasp when folded. It is a silver color and should be very light when picked up.
