Background
Released in 2002, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P9 is a 7-ounce, high-resolution, 4.0 megapixel camera. It is 4 1/2-inches wide, 2 inches tall, and 1 3/8 inches thick. It has a 1.5-inch LCD screen and an aluminum body. The camera has a reusable memory stick media card that can store movies and still images and later transfer them to any computer with a USB port. The Cyber-shot can capture still images, record video, or take a quick series of still images in rapid succession, and it has 3x optical zoom capability.
Identification
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P9 is a compact camera with one square end and one rounded end. It is available in silver only. You can identify your camera by the model name DSC-P9 printed on the top of the camera, as well as the model and serial number located on a label on the bottom of the device near the tripod socket. In addition, "Cyber-shot" is printed on the front of the camera.
