Background
The Samsung Galaxy J3 V was a phone designed for those on a budget, taking the look of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S line but only implementing the essentials of a phone. The Galaxy J3 series was released in January of 2016 with J3 V being the model tailored for Verizon.
- The phone runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-7 and 1.5 GB of RAM.
- It sports a 5.0” (126.3mm) display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
- The front-facing camera is 2MP and the rear-facing camera is 5MP, capable of taking 720p videos at 30fps.
Identification
With the look of this phone similar to the Samsung Galaxy S line, it features Samsung’s signature home button on the face of the phone as well as the power/lock button on the right edge and a volume rocker on the left. On the back cover, the phone is branded with the Galaxy J3 logo as well as Verizon’s logo, specifically for the J3 V model. Under the back cover and under the battery is the sticker tag with the model number, the SKU, and other identification information.
