Background and Identification
The Rock Band Fender Stratocaster Wired Guitar, also known as the Harmonix Official Rock Band Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller, is a Rock Band video game accessory designed to look like a Fender Stratocaster electric guitar. The controller was first available in October 2019.
The Squier Stratocaster is an electric guitar manufactured and sold by Squier, a marque of Fender. It is essentially a re-branded Fender Stratocaster. The Fender Stratocaster is colloquially known as the Strat and has been manufactured by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation since 1954. The Stratocaster is a double-cutaway guitar with an extended top “horn” shape for enhanced balance. The Stratocaster shape is one of the most-often replicated electric guitar shapes. Guitars that emulate the Stratocaster produced by other manufacturers are often called S-Type or ST-Type guitars.
The Rock Band Fender Stratocaster Wired Guitar includes a detachable head and strap. The accessory requires a cord with a USB end to plug the guitar into an Xbox 360 system. The guitar’s wired cord is designed to prevent connection issues faced with wireless controllers. It features an auto-calibration sensor that can sync to any type of television. This model features an improved strum bar for greater precision along with quieter smooth-action fret buttons. The controller requires three AA Alkaline batteries. The guitar-shaped controller is compatible with all Rock Band and Guitar Hero games.
