Identification
Identifying a Nintendo product is fairly easy. Each generation of TV console has a unique look, as well as its brand/model designation right on the unit. On some of the hand-held consoles, however, you'll have to look under the device in order to determine which unit you have. The Nintendo DSi is also easily distinguishable from the DS / DS Lite because it has an exterior camera on the top case.
Model History
The original Nintendo was first introduced to the United States in 1986.
