Background
The Motorola Photon 4G (Model Number: MB855) is an Android-based phone that was released in August 2011 and distributed exclusively by Sprint. It comes with a screen size of 4.3 inches and a weight of 5.6 oz. The screen is made out of Corning Gorilla Glass, making it much harder to break or scratch compared to other devices. It uses a mini-sim through Sprint for transferrable storage. It also has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of Hard Drive built-in phone storage. The Photon 4G runs off the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread Operating System.
Its basic functions include a voice recorder, Wi-Fi hotspot, GPS receiver, 8-megapixel camera, front-facing camera, multi-touch touchscreen, and much more.
Identification
Characteristics that distinguish it from other phones include HDMI output, a tri-color notification LED, and a built-in kickstand that when opened, the screen will automatically adjust its orientation to landscape no matter what position it is in.
You can find the serial and model numbers in the settings: Settings > About phone > Model Number.
