Background and Identification
The LG G5 is LG's flagship smartphone. Its most distinguishing feature is the user-replaceable battery—accomplished by way of a pushbutton slide-out mechanism. The battery attaches to a removable module (containing the USB-C port and speaker) which itself can be swapped out for other "expansion" modules, giving the phone additional features.
This phone is designed with modular components, meaning, parts like the cameras and screen are easily removed and replaced with only a few tools.
The G5 shipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM (or, in the Latin American market, a somewhat less powerful Snapdragon 652 and 3 GB of RAM).
