Why does the planetary unit fall out? |
In 2023, KitchenAid discontinued the previous model lines of Bowl-Lift AC Motor Mixers replacing them with an all new lineup. As with any lineup spanning decades, these models are represented by a plethora of model names/numbers. These older model mixers are characterized by the following:
* 325W-590W AC Motors
- A worm-drive reduction gearbox
- An absolutely confusing number of names usually incorporating the word Professional, a one to three digit number, and sometimes containing a modifier like Plus, Design, HD, etc. Note that four digit variants (e.g., Professional 6000HD or Professional 6500 Design) are DC Motor models and can be found in that section.
- Two different, fully incompatible diameters of bowls with sizes ranging from 5.0qt-6.0qt.
Some commonly known models in this category are Professional HD, Professional 5 Plus, Professional 500, and Professional 600.
