Background and Identification

This nano quad integrates a flight controller, gyroscope, accelerometer, and radio receiver all onto a single motherboard to minimize space requirements and complexity. A 3.7V 1S lithium polymer battery drives the X4's four brushed motors.

Although the X4 [or more specifically, it's target demographic] is likely to see a number of crashes, the nano-sized quad is easily repairable and simply constructed. With a total of five screws and a snap-in mechanism holding the frame together, even an ameteur can open the casing to get to the motherboard in a few seconds. Most basic repairs require some soldering, giving new hobbyists the opportunity to sharpen their skills on an especially challenging platform.
