Background
The HTC SMT 6175 (codename HTC Ozone) was released in June 2009. The phone runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system with a Qualcomm MSM7625 528 MHz processor.
This phone was sold by Verizon Wireless. Some of its main features include: QWERTY keyboard, 3G network, access to the internet, and some current applications such as messaging, games, etc. It is known as the sequel to the HTC Dash.
Upgrades
There are a few upgrades that can be made to the HTC Ozone which will improve its performance!
- Memory: The HTC SMT 6175 comes with an internal memory of 117 MB. The HTC Ozone supports up to 16GB microSD memory cards for improving storage space.
- Battery: The battery is easily replaced by taking off the back cover and taking it out to put in a new one. New batteries can be bought through HTC or your wireless provider.
- Software: The software can be updated by downloading the HTC OZONE ROM update- Version 2.16.605.15 | 01.12.2010 This will enhance Windows Mobile 6.5 Operating System, Customizable Home Screen, Added My Photos Sliding Panel on Home Screen, Profile Volume Control added to Volume Keys, and Global Navigator.
Identification
The HTC SMT 6175 has a glossy black case. The HTC logo is printed on the front of the device above the navigation buttons. The HTC logo is also printed in the center of the back case, and the cellular company logo is printed towards the bottom center of the phone.
