Background and Identification
The Garmin Vivoactive HR is an activity tracker released from Garmin in February of 2016. The Vivoactive HR has a few notable features. It is customizable, GPS-enabled, and includes a high-resolution, touchscreen display. The watch also boasts heart-rate tracking, an 8-day battery life, and smartphone notification display.
The Garmin Vivoactive HR was positively noted for displaying useful notifications, tracking many different types of activity, being water resistant to 5 ATMs, having the capability to customize and set multiple alarms, and having a watch band that is easy to swap out. On the other hand, the smartwatch was criticized for having a clunky design, a touchscreen that was sometimes unresponsive, and a heart rate monitor that seemed to be unreliable during intense exercise.
The Garmin Vivoactive HR smartwatch includes a rectangular touchscreen integrated into a wristband. The wristband includes a buckle strap for a secure fit. The device name is located on the back of the watch face.
