ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513 Repair

The ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513 is a gaming laptop that was released in 2021 and 2022 as part of the ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) lineup. In the ROG Strix lineup, they focus on portable gaming systems with dedicated graphics. It is powered by AMD Ryzen 7 and 9 (generations 4xxx - 6xxx) CPUs and GeForce GTX 1650 or RTX 30xx series GPUs.  It typically comes with up to 32 GB DDR4 or DDR5 RAM, 500GB or 1TB of NVMe SSD storage, and a 15.6-inch display with refresh rates up to 300Hz. ASUS uses its ROG Intelligent Cooling system, which uses liquid metal thermal compounds and multiple heat pipes to keep the laptop cool during heavy use. This laptop has a design of aluminum-capped lid and textured base that is used for improved durability.

There are a couple ways to be able to identify ASUS ROG Strix G15 G513. The lid has the ROG logo on one side, with a dot matrix pattern across the surface. The front edge of the chassis has a customizable RGB light bar, and the keyboard also has RGB lights behind them. It should also say ROG Strix on the inside bottom left underneath the screen. The exact model can be found on the sticker on the bottom panel of the laptop or on the original box the laptop came in. The full model's name may include additional letters and numbers, for example G513QR or G513IC and a suffix that can be used to track rare or regional model variants which may have RAM, SSD or OS modifications, for example G513RC-HN016W or G513IH-HN002T. The back side of this particular model should include a power input, USB-A, Ethernet, HDMI, USB-C. On the left side, there should be two USB-A ports and an audio jack.
