How do I get my screen to work?

I bought a new LCD screen for my Dell Studio laptop because the current screen didn't work. Now the new one doesn't work as well. There must be a connection issue that's preventing the screen from working and I don't know what it is.

Abe, it may not have been your LCD. I would check the inverter. It is the inverter that produces the high voltage that makes the tube glow. It is possible to check the inverter with a multimeter, just remember that is does supply a high voltage, somewhere around 500-700V. It is not to expensive and you can find a service manual that would work for your laptop right here. Hope this helps, good luck.
