Valve’s upcoming VR headset, the Steam Frame, utilizes SteamOS and the Steam ecosystem to deliver high-fidelity virtual reality.

Can internal controller parts be fixed?

Are Springs, Buttons, or any other part replacement for the Steam Frame VR Controllers planned to be available? Or the controller shell, such as the faceplate?

The release of CAD files is useful for making custom shells and other replacement parts, but it doesn't necessarily mean Valve will sell individual springs or buttons.

I haven't seen Valve confirm individual replacement springs or buttons yet. They released the Steam Frame CAD files, so making custom shell parts is an option, but that's different from having replacement parts available to buy. I'd check with Steam Support to see whether internal controller parts are available or planned.
