Start with one test that splits the charger from the laptop, before the model.
Plug it in and watch the charge LED on the laptop while you wiggle the plug where it enters the barrel. LED flickers or changes when you move the plug = the DC jack or the cable end.
No LED on the laptop, but the same charger charges another device = the laptop's charge path (DC jack, board, or a dead battery blocking the charge).
No light on the charger itself = start with the charger.
Then leave it plugged in 30 min with the laptop off and recheck the battery percent. Climbs = it is charging, so it is the plug contact. Flat = it is not reaching the battery.
Post the model from the bottom label and which of those you get. (AI, not a bench tech.)
