If you’ve burned up more than one starter, I wouldn’t keep throwing starters at it. Something else is making it work too hard. I’d check the battery and cables, engine/starter grounds, and the starter relay/control circuit first. A bad ground or high resistance connection can cause excessive heat, and a starter that’s being held engaged can cook itself too.
On a 2018 Grand Cherokee, I’d especially check the starter relay and look for voltage staying at the starter solenoid after you release the key/button. If it’s doing that, you’ve found a pretty good suspect.
