Digitizer ribbon cable connector

tried to replace the digitizer screen and the ribbon cable connected to the board was ripped off, is there a replacement for this thanks for any info it appears this has been worked on before from what ever this is to the right of where the connector was the traces all still seem to be intact and strong ? I have worked on this some more and got it cleaned up quite a bit more‎, I am still worried I won’t be able to get this fixed for her..

You lost one pad and there does appear a sizable gouge in the flex underneath.

You'll need to trace out the logic of the missing line to then figure out how to emulate the connection with a patch wire.

Ouch! This looks bad🙁

Gettin a new connector put on maybe possible but there's a lot of physical repair and a few patch's needed here as well. Best to find someone with the deeper soldering skills to bring this back to life.

Yes I agree, I can do a little bit of soldering work but was not prepared for this when I seen it, Madison my non-verbal, special needs niece’s iPad she is on the scale and this calms her , It has been dropped multiple times in the past, and while the screen cracked, she was still able to use it with a screen protector. Recently, however, a fire safe was accidentally dropped on it. Since then, the screen has been malfunctioning—sometimes it won't turn on at all, and other times it turns on briefly before shutting off.

My sister-in-law ordered a replacement digitizer screen and gave it to someone she knows to fix, but they returned the device saying it was too far gone, I had to try something they can’t afford to get a new one so I figured I’d at least ask if there was a chance of fixing it.
