What tools do you need to replace the radiator and hose? Also what is the right radiator part looks like when looking it up to buy? Since they look alike yet doesn't fit my year 2009 and the one that says it fit doesnt look like it was the one I removed.

@jdharris what a PITA. Here is the Cooling System Mechanical chapter of the FSM for your Beetle. Page 36 has the instructions for the radiator. which makes it looks pretty simple. Here is the twist. You have to pretty much remove the front end from your Beetle.
"and hose" should read and hoses. Your radiator has an upper and lower hose. Now for this "what is the right radiator part looks like" we really would need to know what you are looking at. It would be best if you could post some picture of that with your Question. That way we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question
For now, until we get the service manual uploaded on here, use something like this video to show you how to remove the radiator.
