Trying to identify this part. It is a bit melted from when I used a heat gun to melt some ice ('I know, bad idea). This is the plastic piece that protects the Styrofoam surrounding the freezing element in the Ice Master ice maker. It goes around the element and the foam. The auger assembly actually slides into this and the fan mates up with the bottom.

Did you try plugging in fridge model into Samsungparts.com's site? Samsung may have spare parts otherwise other online distributors may carry parts.

Yeah, ive looked at a couple of sites. Not really finding the part in the parts diagrams and rolling through the parts, not seeing a pic. I figure if someone knows the part name i'd have better luck.

@paultippit

From your description is it a part of the auger case assembly?

crwdns2934271:0crwdnd2934271:0crwdne2934271:0

no, I bought the auger case assembly to resolve a fan issue. It IS the plastic piece that the auger assembly slides into and it protects the styrofoam insulation around the element

Apparently it is called the 'Fixer Fan Duct' da61-08180. It also seems to be out of stock everywhere or unavailable.
