1 Suddenly stopped turning on
I have been using the soldering iron today, set it down for 1h, came back... and now it won't light up when plugged in. The web interface does not find it. I don't get an USB device plugged in sound (should it even do that?).
Any ideas on how to narrow down the error?
It is about 2 years old. I used it maybe 20 times since then.
I tried multiple power supplies but nothing seems to help.
Does anyone have any more trouble shooting tipps?

Make sure that the switch is in the ON position (even I forget sometimes). The only other thing I would think to do is hard reset it. Unplug everything from it, then hold the power and knob buttons for at least 10 seconds. Hope it works again!

Hi, what do you mean by power and knob buttons? Is that something on the iFixIt power supply?
I just use any (sufficiently powerful) USB-C power supply.
Also if I remember correctly, at least some LED indicator should light up, even if not switched on.
And since it does also not show up in the web interface, I assume something is broken.
To avoid further confusion, I made a short video. (Yes it worked nicely before using a 65W thinkpad power brick)

If nobody has an idea I guess I'll start by opening it up and check for any loose connections... and then order a replacement main-board....
