Error code su-42118-6 PS4

My PS4 Slim has random clicking noises at random intervals. My PS4 also cannot update at all and shows the error code "su-42118-6" whenever my PS4 is done updating. It might be a loose blu-ray cable/ribbon. This started after my PS4 refused to read disks.

That error code is pointing towards the Playstation it’s blu-ray drive.

Could be the ribbon cable, power cable or the PCB.

First I would replace the ribbon cable and see what happens. This is most likely the issue here.

Still failing? Try to replace the power cable as well.

Clicking noise is usually the HDD. You can try a known working one as well and see what happens..
