@wesselhart36816 we need to know what kind of boot error. The grey screen means that the backlight turns on but no video displays. This could be a GPU (motherboard error) or a bad screen. For now, connect an external monitor and see if that display's properly. If it doe the issue could be your screen (display cable, display connector). If it does not, the issue is most likely related to your GPU. Let us know what you find out.
