Power Button doesn´t work

Hi,

I think my power button doesn´t work. Is there any possibility to start my MBP without the power button?

Thanks

You're in luck, I came across this video a few months ago which allows you to use the MacBook Pro's power pads to turn it on:

The 15" and 17" models have pads right next to the ram slot but this one, being a 13", has a little different layout.

Hope this Helps

It will work if you have those contacts. What are the last 3 digits of your serial number? There is no 2008 MBP so the guy must be mistaken. I tried it on a 2010 model and it worked and if you want I can go find a 2009 model and test it. (If your MacBook Pro looks different then it must be a 15" or 17") Does your MBP have a removable cover for the battery and hard drive?

my serial is WQ0215PRATM, I´, sorry I have to correct me ones again, it´s a 2010 but it looks different. It´s a 2,4GHZ 13,2". I can make a photo of the logic board?!

Sorry I misled you, I actually had a 2009 model with a 2010 bottom plate because I was switching cases, yours doesn't have those power pads. I will try to find my 2010 model and see where the power pads are and get back to you.
