Scan continuous vertical line

I get continuous black and red vertical lines when scanning from the feeder, never from the glass. How to fix?

Hi @alanlucassr

Try cleaning the document feeder glass and check if that fixes it.

There are two glass panels under the lid.

The smaller one on the left side is used for the document feeder. A small speck of dirt or grime on the glass panel can create a continuous line in a scan.

Use a cloth (microfibre cloth perhaps), slightly dampened with clean water (or Isopropyl Alcohol 99%+ available from electronic parts stores) to clean the glass surface.

Do not use too wet a cloth or any abrasives to clean the panel as you don't want any liquid to enter the printer or to scratch the glass surface.
