Nothing’s third phone. Aimed to be an affordable option to experience absolutely nothing.

Is it possible to replace the SSD?

Hey, I'm running a little low on storage for my Nothing Phone 2a, and since SD cards aren't an option, I was wondering it it's possible to replace the SSD for a larger one? Has anyone done this before? Additionally, where could you find a replacement SSD?

Hi @jane56459

Short answer is No.

Android phones do not use SSDs for data storage. They have what is known as UFS (Universal Flash Storage).

This is hard mounted on the motherboard and cannot be easily replaced.

One option is to use cloud storage to free up storage space in the phone.

Another is to get another phone that has SD card storage option

Thank you. I was looking into a new phone, but all of the ones with the specs I would like are a bit out of my budget at the moment. I have since gone with a cloud storage option, and can hopefully use it to free up some space.
