How to remove on/off switch Braun K600

Hello,

I have a Braun K600 Food Professor. It has an on/off knob. Through the centre of this knob is a pulse button.

The rubber membrane the prevents dirt going into the gap around the button has come off the knob. I am sure it will pop back on if I could take the knob off however, I can’t see how to do it. I’ve tried pulling it off, but it seems to firmly on for it to be a friction fit.

I’m wondering if anyone is actually familiar with this knob and could advise me

@john54185,

I have just watched three disassembly videos... none of them removed the darn knobs or even gave a clear view of the interior attachment... I looked through your repair manual, including a very interesting one where an AI answers your questions... it admitted the manual doesn't SAY how to remove them but emphasized you must unplug the device before working on it... (Guess that's better than nothing. I got two different answers in other sources, neither of them BRAUN, but specifically supposed to apply to your model...

MAYBE one is correct... One says to gently pull up on them but not to use excessive force, and to look inside for any catches or latches that might hold it in place if that failed... hmm...

(It DID look to me in one video there might be such catches but the video was neither close enough nor unobstructed enough for me to actually see that for sure)...

The other source said with equal authority that you turn the knob counterclockwise to remove, and then reinstall by aligning the knob properly with the shaft and turning it clockwise...

Let me know which (if either) actually works. And If that's not right, someone will probably turn up with the real goods for you at some point...

Good luck.

Hi,

I also watched many videos !!

Could you place a link to the one that mentions turning the knob anti clockwise please.

I’m going to take the bottom first and have a look underneath the switch to see if there’s anything near retaining it

Thank you

It wasn't a video, sadly... let me see if I can find it again...

I think it was on this website but I'm having trouble finding it again... it was an answer from a forum member to a query:
