I need to release these ribbon cables - https://bit.ly/4pSQPkf
The beige latches will not slide left, right, forward, or back. I cannot fit a tool between the cables and the sockets. There are no pull tabs on the cables. Can someone identify the connector type and give the exact release method?

You lift up the black latches from the cable side -see image below.
On p.58 (64 of 89 pdf) in the maintenance and service guide for the laptop it shows that you have to lift the touch control board up just enough to be able to release the cables.

These are FFC/ZIF ribbon connectors. Power down, remove battery and ground yourself. Look for a tiny hinge seam along the beige lock: most ZIFs either flip-up or slide-out. If there’s a thin front seam, use a fingernail or thin plastic spudger to gently lift the beige bar up (toward you) about 90° — it should hinge open. If the bar doesn’t lift, it’s a slide-lock: push the beige piece away from the cable (parallel to the board) about 1–2 mm to release. Once unlocked, gently pull the ribbon straight out. Don’t force, photograph orientation, and reinsert straight and test carefully afterwards.
