Reopen an iMac that was repaired with an iFixIt kit previously?

I know the tape to reseal my iMac was different than the original. I installed an SSD with an iFixIt kit a number of years back. This is a 27". The GPU has failed and I want to pull the SSD out. What is the best way to unseal it? I have the iFixIt tools from the original install. Do I need to warm it up with a hair dryer to help soften the tape or what? Thanks!

Do you remember if you used the die-cut adhesive strips or used something else?

If you used the supplied adhesive strips within the iFixit kit you only need to follow the display removal guide from your exact system, as an example here's the iMac Intel 27" EMC 2639 Display Replacement guide using the special pizza cutter to cut the foam core of the tape. If you used something else heat will be needed to soften the adhesive and then using a bunch of plastic picks and cards will be needed to slowly walk around the edge to release and isolate the display from the case so the adhesive can't reattach.

I used the iFixIt tape - I thought I remembered it not being foam, but probably wrong. :) Thanks!
