Why does my NFC keep on switching itself off

Hi I'm just after some information. My partner has a Samsung Galaxy A54 5G and the NFC keeps switching itself off. It's important that it's always on because she suffers from diabetes and has a sensor that records her blood sugars, for which the sensor uses the NFC for. However, over the last few weeks, whenever she tries to scan the sensor it tells her that the NFC is disabled. I've tried resetting the network settings, booting it into safe mode and ultimately a factory reset. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
