@ilhamaji,

Lag on your phone can be caused by number of things, some of which you can do something about and some that are intrinsic that you cannot readily address. So...

Since the main memory is used both for applications that come with the phone (which are usually not removable, will ye or nil.), the apps you add, and the actual operating system (as operating memory). the more of it you have, the better. More to the point, the less you have free, the more the phone must swap data in order to function. just like in your PC, "more is better" except in your PC, for most folks 32GB or even 16 will be able to do pretty much everything MOST users need. But in your PC that memory is not eaten up with every new app you install or every useless-to-you app that came with it that you can't delete.

The more you install, the more lag. How to address this: If you don't use or need an app, get rid of it, clearing the cache is a temporary boost, but it will be re-created quickly. On devices where you have the ability to add a micros SD card, do so, and move all the stuff you can (photos, videos e-books, music, audio-books, anything you CAN) to the micro SD, on older versions of android it is possible to move installed apps to the micro SD card and is possible with some newer models by altering the settings, formatting the SD as internal storage instead of adoptable, not necessarily what you want to do, but may be required by your device in order to move apps to the SD, mind you, doing so has a number of drawbacks, inability to use the SD card on another device, say, your PC (which will not then be able to read, write or even reformat it) nor will the phone itself be able to if you ever have to do a factory reset of your device (unless you back up the encryption key and are able to find and use it if you ever need it... normally it's stored on the device or the card... so catch-22 on that.

In theory keeping your software up-to-date will help minimize lag too... (BUT... ever notice how the updates always get LARGER? ...and don't seem to always be anything you actually desire?) Bad or malicious apps can be a factor, keep an eye on that and get rid of any that misbehave or affect performance, if it's an app you NEED doing that, look for alternatives that will work for you without the drawbacks.

Another way you run out of space is having multiple apps running at once which also eats that limited memory, close any you aren't using. Again in theory this doesn't happen... but, yeah, it does... see bad apps, add, poorly designed apps.

Other things that you can do to free up memory are to turn off 'features' that require memory to work, say animations, live wallpaper, all the fancy extras also use extra memory.

Another thing that might help, if you have it, is "Game mode" that turns off as much as possible to make your game run faster.

The Intrinsic limitations are, really pretty obvious: How much RAM did you opt for when you bought it? How fast is the CPU? a slower cpu can't do things as quickly, right?

Anyway, hope that helps and...

Good Luck!
