does it matter about the model number on the heat sync

do the heat sync have to match the original or current heat sync model number or can any replacement heat sync work with the current xbox one as i think it is the heat sync that is the issue not the cooling fan and if i get the wrong or incorrect heat sync model number it may not work correctly

Hi Matt!

No, the heat sinks are basically the same. Just make sure you get the Xbox One (1st, original) model heat sink.

No problem at all! They should match as long as you got the Xbox One (original, 1st) model.
