A range hood is a kitchen appliance installed over the stove, designed to remove smoke, odors, heat, and airborne grease through filtration and ventilation.

Cheaper option for blower assembly installation

Hello,

We bought a house and the repair man the bank used before we bought the house installed a wolf p1423418 island range hood, but left out the guts and blower assembly. My wife wants this thing to work, I've looked online and it will cost around $1200 for the part.

I am pretty handy, just trying to find some direction as I'm sure I can find a couple blowers and fab up a mounting plate for the hood. Inside the hood are dual 110 outlets, and it appears the control is a rheostat to control the fan speed. Says the unit should be 1200 CFM but can go down to 800.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Joe

@joerose not sure if you have the mounting bracket (part#25) since that will dictate what exhaust fan you could use. I think if you have at least the length and width of that, you could always make your own and use a blower fan like a less expensive Broan S97021510. You could also create a mounting plate for something like this. Then bolt that to the mounting bracket :-) To get your CFM higher you will be looking at dual squirrel cage fan. It really all depends on the mounting plate and how much overall space you have under the hood.

Any dual blower setup at 1200 CFM will be costly
