My power comes on but no picture or sound

What is the model number of the TV?

When you say "My power light comes on..." please clarify if you mean that the TV power light changes colour from being in Standby to being On of if you mean that the TV is in standby power mode?

If it doesn't change from Standby to On, if you were using the remote control to turn it on have you tried using the TV control buttons (if there are any) to turn it on or replacing the batteries in the remote control unit?
