Hi @justme40183
The drain tube leading from under the evaporator unit to an evaporator pan underneath the freezer cabinet may be blocked.
During the defrost cycle the freezer compressor is turned off and a heater is turned on to melt the accumulated ice from the evaporator unit. The melt water flows down the tube and collects in the pan where it evaporates naturally.
If the tube is blocked the water will back up and overflow inside the compartment.
Disconnect the power to the freezer and then pull the freezer forward so that you can access the back of the freezer cabinet. The drain pan is located underneath the cabinet near the compressor motor.
Check that the drain tube is not blocked where it enters the pan.
If it all appears to be OK check if the other end of the drain tube in the compartment is clear.
Here's a video that shows how to access the evaporator unit inside the compartment. The drain tube hole is seen at 34 seconds into the video below the centre of the evaporator unit on the floor of the compartment.
If nothing is blocking the hole, pour a measured amount of water i.e. 1 cup full and check that all of it reaches the drain pan underneath.
