Indesit DSIE 2B10 UK dishwasher — it won’t turn on at all.
A cable to the main PCB was cut by the door, causing a short that burned the old board. I repaired the cable and replaced both the main board and the top button panel. Power to the main board measures 220 V AC. The door safety switch works and shows continuity.
The connector from the lower board to the top panel has 5 pins, split into 2 pins plus 3 pins. In the group of 3 pins, one measures 12 V, one is 0 V (probably common or ground), and the third is a signal line. The two pins without voltage show 3.7 MΩ, which drops to 0.25 MΩ when pressing the power button, indicating the button is sending a signal. Continuity between the lower board and upper panel is 0 Ω. 12 V also reaches the top panel and the safety switch, which shows continuity when latched.
The dishwasher does not turn on at all, no lights, no clicks, no motor activity.
What else could prevent it from powering on, if power, boards, cables, and switches are all OK? Could it be a motor, internal sensor, or something else blocking the start? Is it time to scrap it and buy a new dishwasher?
