The headband slider is separating/cracking near the extension poin

Have anyone had such problem? The slider is getting loose and this side is extended to full length almost always, I'm afraid it will lead to other more serious issues.
Tried to push it back together by applying pressure with my fingers but no luck.

I took no chance and immediately used tie to ensure it stays where it should
