clean keyboard 2016 MacBook Pro

Hey Mate!

I've done this before and might I say, it is rough. It requires a full disassembly of the laptop to get to the keyboard. It is behind all of the motherboard components.

It will take more than an hour.

I say this because the keyboard is held in place by over a hundred tiny rivets. When you remove the keyboard, they go shooting EVERYWHERE. You also kinda bust the keyboard ripping it off unless you are super careful and remove each rivet one by one. Then you hope you have bought a bag of keyboard screws that you can use in place of rivets to screw the keyboard down.

If you've got sticky keys or generally a dirty keyboard mechanism; I'd suggest just buying a new keyboard of ebay, and making sure it comes with screws or buying screws. If you don't have those, and your laptop is completely in pieces, you're screwed.

So I can help you find the components, could you please provide the model number of your macbook? To confirm this is not the serial number which is a huge string of letters and numbers. Flip the macbook over and near the hinge you should see tiny text. There is some text saying A####(A and four numbers). Please provide that!
