What do you mean? Are you asking if you need to replace the CMOS battery or did you and now the date and time are not correct?

What is the date and time showing, and then after you set it and turn the system off and back on is it what you set or back to the wrong one you had just altered it from?

An over heating system can be as simple as clogged fan and heatsink so the system can't cool its self. It is also possible the battery is failing and needs replacing.
