How to get to and replace a broken paper feeder gear?

Hello. I need an exploded diagram repair manual for my HP Photosmart C8180 All-In-One printer. I have it in a partial state of disassembly and took photos along the way....but I ran into a block and couldn't proceed any further because I began to realize that in order to reach this broken gear, I may have to disassemble the entire printer from the top down....and without a repair manual, I'd never likely get it back together again. Maybe someone knows an easy way to reach it and can help. In any case, I want the repair manual nonetheless.

I have watched the iFixit site for years, eagerly in favor of the Right To Repair legislation. Waiting for the day when HP is forced to release repair manuals. So far, I haven't seen it. Maybe someone else knows more about that. How goes that?
