No lights nothing. Adapter and power jack both been changed. Still nothing?

Hi @gstar
Couldn't find a free download (@oldturkey03 may have it ;-) but here's a link to the schematics for the motherboard, that is not too expensive.
In most laptop's there's what is usually known as an AC detect or ACDC lead (their terminology, not mine) connected off the DC-Input jack +ve lead input, that is used to signal to the power management controller that there's power connected to the laptop. The controller then connects the power through to the motherboard and the battery as required.
The schematic will show all the connections from the DC-In jack so that you can trace where this lead goes. The schematics also shows the circuit ID and the model number of each component on the motherboard
Here's a link to the boardview file for the motherboard which is to be used in conjunction with the schematics as it identifies the physical location on the motherboard of all the components shown in the schematics, as most of the components on the board will not be marked.

@gstar since "Adapter and power jack both been changed." you will have to check the power rail to see if your motherboard even gets power. To try and help you with that, we will need to know what exact model your motherboard is. That means you will have to start with some disassembly. Use this HP Maintenance And Service Guideto work on that. Take some good pictures of your motherboard etc. and post those with your question. That way we can see what you see.
Next you need a multimeter. Measure the voltage on the battery connector and make note of it. Next plug your computer in and measure the voltage on the board side of the DC-in jack as well as on the battery connector. Did the voltage increase? If yes, your board gets at least power to the battery. If no, your board has issues with the main power rail. Now we need to know the motherboards model number as well as seeing it would be good. Everything from here on will be on a board level.
Of course you did check the AC adapter as well as the jack before you replaced it, correct?
