Hi @isaac1017

How to Save a Wet Computer Mouse

1. Disconnect Immediately

• Unplug the mouse from your computer or remove the batteries if it's wireless.

• This prevents short circuits and further damage.

2. Open the Mouse

• Carefully unscrew or pry open the casing.

• Be gentle to avoid damaging clips or internal components.

3. Remove Excess Liquid

• Use a lint-free cloth or paper towel to blot away visible moisture.

• Avoid rubbing—just dab to absorb.

4. Clean with Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)

• Use 90%+ IPA to clean the circuit board and internal parts.

• IPA evaporates quickly and helps remove residue that could cause corrosion.

5. Dry Thoroughly

• Place the mouse in a warm, dry area (not direct sunlight or extreme heat).

• Let it sit for at least 24 hours to ensure all moisture is gone.

6. Reassemble and Test

• Once fully dry, reassemble the mouse and plug it back in.

• Test all buttons and movement to confirm it's working properly.
