Clicking and snapping noise help please

I have a 5 year old whirlpool stainless steel side by side refrig / freezer combo model # Wrs325sdhz01

Wouldnt you know it the refrig has a problem when the 5 year extended warranty just RAN OUT!!

My issue is that when the COMPRESSOR IS ON we can hear a clicking / snapping sound as it runs. When the compressor turns OFF the sound disappears.

There is no odor heat, etc coming from under it around the refrig and it is working PROPERLY apart from this annoying clicking / snapping sound again ONLY when compressor is running.

I paid a appliance tech (not a factory whirlpool service tech) to come and diagnose the problem and he replaced the relay and something else that attaches to the relay that snap together as one part (two parts snap together to make one part).

Part was $59.00 total for both pieces and they came as a kit. Invoice says it was relay and something else. It was removed and replaced by removing clip holding it in place by a wire that held it on compressor. I also cleaned the fan blades near compressor and vaccumed off the condenser coils under front grill of refrig while back of refrig was off. There are no water leaks, nothing was singed underneath with zero signs of a short, and the replaced part came off easily and was replaced easily and had zero signs of damage. Both were solid state with computer chips inside and zero moving parts. Replacement part matched factory part exactly

So clicking / snapping sound disappeared. Shortly thereafter within 45 minutes the same sound came BACK exactly like it was prior to the repair and a $175 repair bill (whirlpool wanted $454 to fix it with a one yeat warranty on the repair only!)

It is NOT the defrost cycle of the refrig I know what that sounds like just in case someone thinks it might be that...

Any idea what might be making the noise?

Also if you have to call the tech back for not fixing a issue properly do they charge you for service call and labor again?

I'm thinking the part replaced was NOT the issue but I also know nothing about fixing apppliances.

Thanks in advance. Maybe I should have just paid whirlpool $454 to fix it instead...very frustrated at this point as Ive spent $179 and am not better off than I was before :(

Thank you for any guidance from anyone who has run into this servicing newer whirlpool side by side refrig/freezers.
