I dropped half of my phone in milk where the headphones plug in at. Can I still charge my phone

@rihannadublin I am more for the let's clean it before it causes problems philosophy.
For now, I suggest you stop continuing to try to charge, sync or otherwise use your phone. This potentially can make a bad situation worse. This may further damage your phone.
The very first step I would take is to disassemble your phone. You can use the teardown for your phone model from here Motorola Moto G Play (2023) Teardown Remove the main board and the charging board. You will have to remove all the EMI shields. If you do not remove the shields, you are not cleaning the board.
I personally do no longer clean the charging boards, but I replace those. They are fairly inexpensive and readily available at many places. By replacing it I always have a known-well starting point should further troubleshooting become necessary.
Take a close look at all components, connectors as well as cable ends and check for "milk" damage. Once you got any gross contamination cleaned, use 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and clean your parts some more. For a proper cleaning, use this guide. It was written for an Apple iPhone 3G but all the steps are pertinent to your phone as well. I can not stress the importance of a good cleaning enough, so do it over and over while replacing the alcohol after each cleaning. It would of course be best to get it ultrasonically cleaned.
After that, reassemble your phone and re-evaluate. I prefer to change the battery as well, since those batterie do not like liquid exposures :-)

Fluids and electronics don't play well together. While there may be faster ways to dry out any milk that entered, patience and time may be needed for best outcome. Disassemble your phone, remove the battery and sim chip, use canned air to gently blow out remaining milk. Use a towel to catch overspray. Canned air will freeze if sprayed continually and doesn't help if it freezes liquid. Use short sprays and let the phone rewarm. Once fluids are blown out, wipe the phone with a lint free disposable cloth and cotton tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol to sop up and clean off milk residue. Use swabs carefully, working into nooks and crannies. Ensure lint doesn't snag and remain. Once cleaned up, leave this disassembled phone in a pan over a gas stove pilot light for a thorough warming to help evaporate any fluid remaining in tiny spaces. A water heater in basement, gas fired and warm, can be used too. If in a warm climate with sun exposure, leave parts out in the sun, on a towel as infrared heat warms parts to help evaporate remaining fluid. Let this phone dry out for several hours or more. The more time for warm drying, more time to evaporate and greater chances of restoring full function to the phone. No guarantees but unless a better idea comes along to guarantee success, slow drying may be best. Reassemble and restart. Good luck.
