This operation requires a bit of patience and skills because the buttons on this model are placed on the back of the shell where most of the components are housed. It requires you to basically strip every component away from your device to then be transferred in a healthy shell.
Here is a video that shows how to open it up and how involved the tear down is.
If this feels like something you want to take on, then your best bet is to look for a used / broken JBL 3 online and buy it solely for the purpose of using its shell / outer casing.
If you buy a used one with the shell still in good condition you cans trip it down and transfer the healthy components from yours.
Just remember to order some adhesive strips to glue the battery back on the shell since you'll be removing it from yours and likely won't be able to reuse the old adhesive.
