The owner manual states that the engine oil needs to be changed after every 50 hours of operation or yearly whichever is applicable. (see p.17 of the manual)

Regarding the pump it only mentions that to protect the pump from mineral damage or freezing temperatures is to use a lubricant known as a pump saver. (B&S part number 6039 - see p.22 of the manual (examples only)
