How to take out the motherboard without damaging it.

So I spilt a drink on my keyboard and need to remove everything for cleaning, but I'm unable to remove the face plate from the motherboard even though I've taken all the screws out.

I've found only 1 way to take it off but it requires soldering all the back side of the motherboard to get the key heads off.

As far as trying to do it, it is very tedious as inside each key it has 2 small metal pieces (contact switchs) that are easy to break.

Unfortunately it is the only way to separate the motherboard to the front face plate.

Hi @trissy

Here's a teardown video that may help.

Hi @jayeff

I've seen that video but he doesn't go into much detail and he doesn't say how to take of the the front face, nor has he actually done it. Thank you though.
