Time of day not set

I have a Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop. I dropped it on a hardwood floor and damaged the screen bezel. I bought a replacement screen bezel and installed. Since then, I get a Time of day not set-please run SETUP program screen on startup. All internet searches say to replace CMOS on motherboard. Unfortunately, also upon research my laptop does not have CMOS. It is intergrated on main battery. I ourchased new and installed. Still getting same screen on start up. Also, if not plugged in to the A/C adapter it will shutdown unexpectedly, even with full battery.
