LG 50QNED816QA Black horizontal lines

Hello everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my LG TV since today. As you can see in the picture, the entire screen is covered with horizontal black lines.

Could you please help me understand if there’s a way to fix it, perhaps by replacing some hardware components?

Thanks for any help!

@henry15759 this could be lines generated by failed memory on the main board or bad clock lines on the driver board for the GATE drivers. Try this. Unplug you TV and remove the back cover. There should be two flat ribbon cables going from either the main board or your T-con board to the driver boards (connected to the LCD panel). Disconnect one of the ribbon cables. Then plug the power back in and turn your TV on. What do you see? Repeat this with the other cable. Always disconnect the power when pulling cables. It is not enough to turn it off but will need to have the power cord removed. Let us know what it shoes. Also, pictures are always helpful. Once you remove your back panel take one picture of all the boards and interconnect cables then take a picture of each individual board. Post those with your question. That way we can see what you see and hopefully we'll find a solution.
